Hi. Please check Network Settings/Wi-Fi: iMessage works on the 3G/Wi-Fi network. Sometimes, it doesn't work even if there is an active connection but it's poor. Make sure you're closer to the source/router. If you are on 3G network, try restarting the cellular connections.

Try to turn Off and then Turn On iMessages Again: Settings - Messages - Turn Off iMessage and turn on it again.
If you still don't receive iMessage notifications at this point, you should try resetting your iPhone. And if the issue persists, you might have to hard-reset/format your device. The stock Messages app on iPhone and iPad lets you send iMessages and SMS text messages too. But the great thing about iMessage is that you can communicate endlessly with other Apple users with iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Watch, entirely for free, through the encrypted iMessage protocol. But what if Messages is not working on your iPhone or iPad? This would reset your iPhone’s network and fix the iMessage not working on the iOS 14 issue. Fix 3: Reset the iMessage Feature. If the text or iMessage on iOS 14 is still not working, then you should go to your device’s Settings Messages. From here, you need to make sure that the iMessage feature is turned on and that you are logged in to. Restart Your Device. The first thing you should try is to simply restart your device. To do so, make sure that your iMessage is logged in with the same Apple ID across all your devices, and then on your iPhone, go to Settings Messages Text Message Forwarding. From there, you can choose the devices that can sync up with your iPhone, and send or receive texts. Message Bubble is Green, Not Blue.
Make sure you send the message to an iMessage-user.
Sign out of Apple ID (go to Send & Receive) and then re-sign in again. Repeat the turn Off-On after this.
Finally, try to reset your device. This won't delete your data stored on this device.

- Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button
- Press and hold on the Home button
- Keep holding both buttons until the display turns off and back on with Apple logo on it.

Iphone Not Receiving Messages From One Person
I know this question was asked a long time ago, but recently i had the same problem so i thought i'd add my answer if anyone else comes across this. My one friend received all of my messages, but i couldn't receive any of hers. We tried resetting our network settings and everything! It turned out i had her number blocked on my phone even though i know for sure i never blocked her number. So if you tried everything else and it doesn't work, go to imessage and see if their number is blocked. I honestly don't know how it got blocked since i didn't do it, but maybe there is a glitch or problem or something that blocks some people's numbers from your phone.
